Ashley is a warm and passionate psychologist who works under the philosophy that every person has an intrinsic strength to grow, adapt and overcome, if only challenged and encouraged. Ashley believes that through connection and deep reflection, self-awareness, resilience and confidence is built.

Ashley has experience working in youth care, the justice system and in psychiatric hospital settings prior to joining InTouch Health Co. She has worked with families, adolescents and adults, with a wide range of gender identities, cultural backgrounds and mental health concerns including; anxiety, depression, trauma, Borderline Personality Disorder, grief and loss, substance abuse, perinatal mental health, emotion dysregulation, self-harm, suicidal ideation and relationship issues.

The fundamental belief that people inherently know their strengths and capabilities and the direction they want their life to take, is what Ashley uses to guide her client-centred approach. Each client is unique and therefore no singular approach will work. As such, Ashley draws from various evidence-based approaches including; Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI) in order to create the most holistic therapeutic plan.

Ashley has a Bachelor of Psychological Science from the University of New South Wales, a Graduate Diploma of Psychological Science from Bond University and a Masters of Counselling and Psychotherapy from the Australian College of Applied Psychology.
