DR LAUREN GRIFFITHS
Growing up playing multiple sports and participating in outdoor activities in her home state of Tasmania, Lauren experienced many injuries which she had treated by different practitioners over the years. When she was first referred to an Osteopath she fell in love with the practice and decided to study the subject herself.
She moved to Melbourne to complete both her Bachelor of Science and Master of Health Science in Osteopathy at Victoria University, where she excelled in Anatomy, Physiology, Biomechanics and Pathology. Lauren also travelled to London to study at the University College of Osteopathy (formerly the British School of Osteopathy) where she had the opportunity to work in specialised clinics treating HIV sufferers and expectant mothers.
Lauren has a wide range of interests from sports injuries (including AFL football) and women’s health, to acute and chronic aches and pains. She believes that every patient should have a personalised treatment plan and that education and empowerment are vital to better health outcomes. She uses a wide range of techniques including soft tissue, manipulation, indirect techniques and exercise prescription during her treatments.
When she isn’t in the clinic helping her patients, Lauren enjoys spending time with her family and friends, travelling the world and is a self-confessed foodie since her time in Melbourne.
Lauren is fully registered with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and is a member of Osteopathy Australia.
